Crime Report: Woman Calls 911 After Sadia Loeliger
Attacks Her, Threatens Her Baby
Terri Lynn Sais testified that Sadia physically attacked her and threatened her
one month-old baby boy at Terri's apartment on February 21, 1991. Sais was Scott
Loeliger's roommate after Scott and Sadia divorced, and Sais was babysitting 16
month-old Fatima after Scott, then a medical resident, was called in to work.
According to Sais:
"Respondent [Sadia] hit me in the back of my
head while I was holding the baby. She grabbed Fatima [then a 16 month old baby]
who began crying...she said 'I left you alone for a lot of months but I can
really mess up your life'...I tried to call the police...Respondent [Sadia]
grabbed the phone from me...my one month old son began crying and respondent [Sadia]
said 'let's go look at Ryan [Terri's baby].' I was afraid of what she could do
so I said no. Respondent [Sadia] pulled my hair, hit me again on the back of my
head...Fatima began crying and Respondent [Sadia] but a blanket over her
head....I am very afraid of this woman and want her to leave me alone. I was
also shocked by he way she grabbed her own child and how she proceeded to
threaten and abuse me without any regard for the fact that she was holding her
own child.

The incident is also
referred to by psychologist Dr. Karen J. Quinn in a report from December of
1994. Quinn wrote:
"There were two episodes of
physical violence by her [Sadia] towards her husband [Scott]. She feels these
were wrong, but that they were provoked, too....there are affidavits in the
court records about Sadia attacking a babysitter at Scott Loeliger's home, and
threatening her small baby while picking up Fatima...her violence is apparently
confined to her relationship with Scott...Sadia has clearly been beyond adaptive
bounds with violence with Scott."
In his Statement of
Decision on May 16, 1991 Judge John M. Phillips
referrers to the incident on the top
of page four. According to Phillips:
"I completely believe or I
did the testimony of Terri Sais and the way the police officers got involved and
in everything and about the way the confrontation occurred."
